Apple Pan Cake

This morning I was at a loss what to make for breakfast. I was hungry, but pancakes were not going to cut it , I wanted something fruity and sweet. I took a can of Apple Pie filling left over from Thanksgiving and got the box of pancake mix out. Three cups of pancake mix , 1/8 cup oil and two cups of water later. I had my cake mix ready. Well , let's see how this goes. I sprayed a pan with non stick cooking spray and poured my mixture in , then the apple pie filling last, popped it in the oven at 350 degrees.
Pretty soon the smell of apple filled the house and I had a beautiful brown apple pan cake. I sprinkled a little bit of brown sugar and white powder on top, then let it bake another 8 minutes or so. Everyone loved it.

Turkey with Crispy Skin

Turkey skin is one of the enjoyable parts of the meal, it has a different taste than the meat. You can make it even more flavorful with this recipe.

You will need the turkey.
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary, plus some for garnish
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper

Combine the ingredients to make a paste, then rub about 1/3 of the paste underneath the skin onto breast and thigh meat.
Rub remaining paste over skin and inside capacity.
Roast the turkey upside down on a rack inside the oven for about an hour and fifteen minutes, then turn it over and continue roasting right side up.
